My name is Cian Walsh, and I am a Director. I am also an experienced cinematographer, editor and camera operator. I love combining genres, working with unconventional styles of filmmaking, with lots of camera movement and handheld shots. I have directed multiple genres, including horror, dramas, comedies and combinations of all three.  
Work Experience: 
The Landlord (2024) - December 2023-January 2024 
I wrote and directed this social satire comedy film, along with starring in it as a minor character.  
My responsibilities included casting the film, coordinating with the producers and art director to create the sets, coordinating and directing the cast and crew to successfully adapting my script into a film and supervising the post-production.  
Reboot (2024) – February 2024 
I worked as an Assistant director on this production.  
My responsibilities included planning the filming schedule and working with the other departments to ensure an efficient shoot.  
Descent (2023) – March-April 2023 
I wrote and directed this horror/thriller short film.  
My responsibilities included casting the film and coordinating and directing the cast and crew to successfully adapting my script into a film and supervising the post-production. 
Worst Crime (2023) 
This is a short comedy film that In wrote and directed.  
Visage (2023) February 2023 
I worked as the 1st AD on this film.  
Glashnok (2021) 
This is a horror/comedy feature that I wrote and directed and also co-starred in. I had various responsibilities on this film other than directing it, including working on the makeup and gore effects and the pre and post-production.  
Stayin’ Alive (2020) 
This is the first film I ever made. It is action/comedy short that I wrote and directed.

My responsibilities included dealing with customers and taking their orders, washing the kitchen, tables and floors. The transferable skills I can apply to filmmaking from here is the interpersonal skills I acquired through dealing with customers and the management and working under pressure on a busy day.  
Kitchen Porter  
Ashtown Park Hotel, Gorey, Co. Wexford 
June-September 2022 
My responsibilities included washing dishes, cleaning the kitchen and floors, and basic food-prep. The transferable skills from this experience that are applicable to filmmaking are I learned how to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and people relying on me to work fast and to do a good job.
